SportairUSA, LC, the American distributor of sport aircraft and avionics, is now a dealer for Adventure Pilot’s iFly GPS™, the affordable 7” touchscreen moving map designed for private pilots.

“The iFly 700 GPS is an amazing new navigational aid,” said Bill Canino, President of SportairUSA. “We have watched the prices of avionics dive as the capabilities soar, and have hands-on experience with a wide range of very competent devices for sport and experimental aircraft. The iFly 700 fills a niche at the low price end of the spectrum, yet it is fully featured, easy to use and reliable.”

Canino noted that the iFly GPS will be standard equipment on the company’s Snap! light sport aerobat, and will be an available option on the Sting, Sirius, Savage Cub and SeaRey.

At a price point starting at $549, the instrument is loaded with US Sectionals, IFR Low Enroute Charts, Geo-Referenced Approach Plates, Airport Diagrams and much more. In fact, everything from planning to flying is designed around image enhanced charts from the FAA. Sweep your finger across the screen to scroll across a chart or plate, quick-tap to switch to another sectional, drag a route line to avoid a TFR, tap an airport to get detailed information, etc, etc. It’s easy, intuitive, and fast. No more expensive bulky paper charts!

Adventure Pilot notes that iFly owners benefit from the continued development and expandability that is built into every iFly GPS. New features and enhancements are continually added via software updates, making the iFly GP one of the best overall values. Adventure Pilot is committed to improving safety and awareness for pilots through its value added aviation products like the iFly GPS and affordable chart and data subscriptions.

August 23, 2011

To promote fleet safety, SportairUSA now offers free transition flight training and a free aircraft safety check to purchasers of used Sting, Sirius, and Savage light sport aircraft.

As a distributor of sport aircraft, we have always provided free transition flight and ground school training to our new aircraft buyers. To help maintain the safety of the fleet, as our aircraft enter the pre-owned market, we have decided to offer the same service, plus a free aircraft safety check, to buyers of used Sting, Sirius and Savage airplanes.

It doesn’t matter who you buy from, bring your airplane for a free safety check and get a factory approved checkout for your own personal flight safety program. SportairUSA will provide up to five hours of transition flight and ground training with its experienced CFIs and A&Ps, and will issue a course completion certificate for your insurance company.

SportairUSA is an FAA repair station which also performs aircraft inspection and maintenance. We are located at the North Little Rock, Arkansas, Municipal Airport (KORK).

Contact us for more information.

SportairUSA, the American marketer and distributor of light sport aircraft, announces price reductions in the entire Zlin Savage line of aircraft.

The tough, versatile Savage Cub is now available in America for $78,790, ready-to-fly including shipping, fees and registration. The new, lower prices on other aircraft in the Savage line are $71,090 for the Classic, $74,490 for the Cruiser, and $87,610 for the iCub.

“Zlin Aviation builds one of the world’s most popular lines of Cub fly-alikes” said Bill Canino, President of SportairUSA, “and with recent improvements in operational efficiencies we are now able to offer them in America at prices $40,000 to $50,000 below the competition.”

With modern materials and techniques, the Savage Cub and its siblings actually handle much better than the original Cub, and are lighter, tougher and more durable. Extended landing gear, bushwheels, floats and skis are available for all Savage models.

Canino noted that “The off-runway capabilities of the Savage line, especially the Savage Cubs, are impressive, mimicking the performance of the SuperCub, but in a brand new airplane priced about the same as a good used PA-18. The Savage Cubs are also much less expensive to operate.”

When the light sport aircraft rule was proposed, we scoured the world looking for the best aircraft that would meet the new rule. That’s how we selected the SportairUSA collection.

These are the aircraft that we sell and service:
